Plot: The main idea of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Cabin Fever) is basically when Greg and his best friend Rowley hung up posters for a holiday bazaar party on school property.  After they were finished hanging up the posters it began to rain very hard and the ink from the posters began to bleed green ink on the wall.  Greg and his friend started to take the posters down and realized that the ink had really damaged the schools wall.   Greg was very worried thinking about Santa and Christmas and became concerned that he would be arrested and punished by his parents for damaging school property.  What made it even more stressful for Greg was that a huge blizzard that hit his community and that his whole family became trapped inside their house.  They all grew cabin fever and became frustrated.

Setting: The setting takes place at Greg's school, and mostly in his home.

Characters: Greg, Manny, Rowley, Rodrick,  Greg's Mom, and Dad

Conflict: Damaging school property by getting green ink on a brick wall after the rain made the ink bleed from the posters.  An then a large blizzard caused Greg and his family to stay in their house.

Resolution :  After Greg's friend Rowley confessed and told the truth to  principal Roy Greg was reprimanded and his punishment was to scrub the wall clean of the ink.   And because Rowley confessed to principal Roy he was not punished for being truthful.

Theme:  The moral of this story is that the boys should have put more thought into their actions.  They should have known the ink on the posters when they get wet could bleed through and get on the walls and could be extremely difficult to get off.   And after the blizzard the whole family got frustrated and developed cabin fever.
